The Amur Falcon, a small raptor, undertakes one of the most remarkable migratory journeys in the avian world. Originating from their breeding grounds in Siberia and Northern China, these falcons traverse an impressive 22,000 kilometers round trip every year, chasing the warmth of the southern hemisphere. 

The Amur Falcon’s journey is incredible, but another small bird holds the migration record.  Known for having the longest migratory journey of any bird species, Artic Terns travel an astounding 70,000 kilometers round trip from their Arctic breeding grounds to the southern tip of Africa. 

Each year, as Europe's landscapes are draped in autumn hues and temperatures drop, the European Swallow embarks on a spectacular journey. Covering distances of up to 11,000 kilometers, these agile avians set their sights on a warmer haven: South Africa.
